First came the title-track video for the Hey Mother Death’s newest LP, Highway (out July 10). Prior to that was their music video for “The Hills.” Then came the “Snake Power” remix by Jay Crocker and so did “The Hills” by Chuck Blazevic. Now comes “Highway” remixed by Matthew Samways. About Matthew Samway’s Highway remix: All of the remixes we commissioned for Paper Bag’s worldwide physical release of our Highway LP showcase the visionary community of musicians from Nova Scotia. None the more then Matthew whose ambitious projects range from his solo project under his own name to Electric Voice Records and the Obey Convention. We liked the work so much, we sampled it for our live performances.
