NON continues its reign of terror/enlightenment today with a new release by one of its founders, Angel-Ho. After some incredible mixes last year and a debut EP on Halcyon Veil, the Cape Town artist returns with a devastating, cataclysmic four-track “bootleg collection/package” called Emancipation, made in collaboration with Desire Marea.
According to Angel-Ho, “I wanted to make tracks that became an emancipating, unifying experience for everyone listening. It is for our relative black queer trans communities, I want us to exist without compromise and to be brave everyday.”
The release includes a couple tracks with Desire Marea and a Keyshia Cole remix. Check it out below, and stay tuned for a lot more NON and Angel-Ho in the coming weeks, including what appears to be a follow-up to the Ascension EP.
