Wow, big ups to Thee Oh Sees, who have announced the release of their 600,000th album. Out November 18 on Castle Face Records, An Odd Entrances will be the second album put out by Jon Dwyer and co. this year. In fact, An Odd Entrances will act as a companion piece to August’s A Weird Exits, both being born out of the same primordial ooze and both having odd titles.
As opposed to the fuzzy psychedelic experience of its companion though, An Odd Entrances is shaping up to deliver a more cosmic psychedelic experience. Like, a “listen to this during your morning acid trip as Thee Oh Sees accent their sound with cellos and flutes” kind of cosmic. Ever tireless, Thee Oh Sees also have tour dates coming up throughout the month of November. Half of the profits from the album’s first pressing will go to Elizabeth House, a California charity dedicated to helping homeless women and children.
