Veteran noise-nik Container to release his fourth LP next month on Spectrum Spools

Damn. Cleveland-based noise artist Ren Schofield is so confident of his ability to find an audience without the help of Google that he not only releases music under an inanimate object moniker (Container), he also calls each of his albums LP.

It totally works, though; because look: here you are, reading about Container’s fourth LP — which is not only a continuation of Schofield’s brutal, industrialist electronic nihilism, but also sees a progression in his artistic abilities by somehow weaving in beautiful melodies amongst the sonic chaos.

Once again, the Editions Mego offshoot Spectrum Spools will be releasing LP. It comes out of its container on June 29, but you can pre-order it over here and sample the lead track “Drain” down below. (Better luck next time, Container; seems like your music accidentally found an audience again.)

LP tracklisting:

01. Drain
02. Leaker
03. Vacancy
04. Peppered
05. Juicer
06. Slippers
07. Retractor
08. Jail
09. Chunked
