WWWINGS release PHOENIXXX on August 19

The name of dark electronic group WWWINGS kind of looks like “wingdings” — hey, has TMT written a review entirely in wingdings? I bet we have. WWWINGS is an international friendship of like-minded artists consisting of Lit Internet from the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia, Lit Daw from Ukraine, and Lit Eyne from Siberia. After meeting on a Russian social networking site, they formed a music blog, later creating music posted to SoundCloud.

Using the Russian instant messenger service Telegram, the trio was able to work on the WWWINGS project remotely. After the success of their 3000 EP from last year, they have a new album, PHOENIXXX, to be released August 19 on Planet Mu. PHOENIXXX adds sounds of trashcan drums, Eastern European folk, industrial noise, and explosions to a dystopian electronic playground.
